Wednesday, May 20th- Last Day of School
We ended up getting 3rd in the pop tab challenge.
Track and Field Day- All of the children did an awesome job and they had fun while getting some exercise.
During the last few days of school we will be doing various writing projects, finishing up some multiplication, and spending time reviewing all of the things we have learned in 2nd grade.
I am sending home some things for each student. Some of the students asked for extra things so that is why they may have more. They were told if they bring back their summer work they can have a reward in the fall when we return to school.
I will be sending home a manila envelope with your child on Wednesday that includes final report cards, a vision test paper for Mrs. Brown, a few writing projects, and a memory book. I have also included a writing project for the children. If they want to write a letter to myself or another student I have included addresses for them to do so. I hope this will help the students stay in touch as well as get some extra writing practice.
Don't forget to use Study Island, Reflex, and SumDog to keep your mind going throughout the summer. Each child will be bringing home their passwords. They will be in the envelopes.
I just wanted to say thank you to all of you. I know it was crazy when I was gone at the beginning of the year and having Ms. Alonzo start with them. I appreciate your patience and understanding as I got back into the swing of things and got my feet under me. I truly enjoyed teaching each of your children. They are the reason why I wanted to be a teacher. I hope you all have a great summer! Please feel free to contact me any time you have questions or concerns through the summer.
